Goring & Streatley hosted the first Junior Pairs Championship with some truly incredible scores on the day. The winning duo of Melan Dhaubhadel and Harry West managed a betterball score of gross 63 - that's 8-under-par! The nett prize went to Newbury & Crookham's team of brothers Andrew & Simon Mead with an equally impressive nett 62. The prize winners can be seen in the photo here. A big thank you goes to Barry Jones and The Boot Inn for their sponsorship of the event and after the glowing feedback from the boys and parents, this will hopefully become a permanent fixture in future years.

Incredible scoring seems to be a theme most weeks at the moment, with Jim Furyk carding a final round 58 on the weekend; the 2nd time he's broken 60 in a PGA Tour event. Back at Goring & Streatley, congratulations go to our very own Damien Coley who managed a nett 60 on Sunday in the President's Cup. He was playing off of 17 at the start of Sunday but I'm pretty sure that won't be the case next time he tees it up.
