The European tour signed off in style with Matt Fitzpatrick securing a stunning victory and a well earned winter break, with a fairly sizeable cheque to enjoy over Christmas. Henrik Stenson did enough to win the year long race to Dubai to finish off what has been an incredible year, first major and probably one of, if not the, greatest final round in a major, can you think of a better one?
The Golf World Cup kicks off today in Melbourne at Kingston Heath, a course I have been lucky enough to play a few times, it is definitely one of the world's great tracks, and after a cheeky early bet on the Italians I hope the 8 they made on the 12th today doesn't cost them!
