Pro V1 Ball Review
A new arrival in the shop this week was the 2017 Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball. The response from the players on tour has been good so we thought we would do our own review. The 2017 Pro V1 has been revamped to become the lower flying and lower spinning golf ball, compared to the Pro V1x. The new Pro V1 flies 'significantly longer' and 'as long as the Pro V1x', thanks to the evolution of its ZG Process Core. The Pro V1x will fly higher and spin more compared to the new Pro V1, with a firmer and clickier feel compared to the Pro V1.
Jordan Spieth put the 2017 Pro V1x into play in late 2016 for the Australian Swing and won immediately with it, stating how much better the flight was and how much more stable it was in crosswinds. The stability in crosswinds will allow for your ball to stay in play, although it is not a miracle ball and won't be able to cure your slice or hook!
The Pro V1 will be perfect for players who are looking to reduce the spin on their driver and produce a flatter ball flight on well struck shots. Titleist have been the number 1 ball in golf for a long time now and we thoroughly recommend you give them a try.

The January sale continues with some amazing bargains in store.
Unofrtunately this week is your last chance (until Sunday), so don't miss out!
PING have released their new irons for this season with the i200 for men which is a great looking and feeling club using their soft 431 stainless steel and featuring a thinner face and muscle stabilizing bar for greater ball speeds and improved forgiveness, and the G Le for Ladies featuring PING's COR-Eye technology creating a more diving-board-like effect to produce a faster ball speed off the face. We have demo irons available in both models so come down and give them a hit, or click here and book a fitting
As you probably already know, my tips of the week do not involve technique, they involve the players that will make the bookies hate you. This week my picks are
Rafa Cabrera Bello, who has been in great form recently and should peak this week, and
Hideki Matsuyama who looks to defend his title from last year at the Phoenix Open, and who has won 4 of his last 8 starts.
