This week we received Mizuno's new woods for 2017 season
Mizuno's new wood range this year is JPX900, the range includes drivers, fairways and rescues. Keeping in line with the traditional Mizuno colours they have released them in the royal blue head and custom gold Fujikura Evo 2 Speeder shaft or blue Fujikura Six shaft.
Mizuno aren't known for their woods but when you hit the 900's that will totally change your mind, the JPX900 driver has a new variable face thickness design that is 5 grams lighter than last year's JPX850 driver. With the 900, Mizuno expanded the face thickness to increase more speed from your off centre hits. A centre track with a pair of 8 gram adjustable weights allows you to precisely dial in spin and launch, while moving the weights to the ports on the toe and heel can alter your trajectory and ball shape. The adjustable hosel provides the opportunity to move loft plus or minus two degrees. All woods are in our very own Pro Shop so why not call in and give them a go or get a fitting with TrackMan?

Modernising golf's rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
