As the season is in full flow, so is the Captain & Pro Challenge with proceeds going to the Captain's Charity. But we only have two dates left available, so if you would like to take on the Captain & Pro on either Monday 8th July at 9am or on Thursday 25th July at 2pm then please get in touch as soon as possible.

Join us for Pro's Day & Night...

On Saturday 3rd August we will be holding our Pro's Day & Night.

The format will be teams of 4 (x2 4BBB) with 2 pairs playing in different groups. The day will include coffee and bacon rolls on arrival served from 6.30am, tee times from 7am to 1pm and a BBQ from 7pm. There will be awesome prizes available for the top 5 teams as well as the usual nearest the pin, beat the pro and longest drive. Tell a friend...

We are organising a number of golf taster days for those new to golf.

So if you have a friend who has always said he or she wanted to give golf a go, then these days are perfect for them. So on Thursday 13th June at 1pm and Saturday 15th June at 3pm we will be giving a FREE hour lesson with Golf Academy professionals followed by complimentary drinks in the bar.

Cantlay on top at Jack’s house

American Patrick Cantlay shot his lowest ever final round in his PGA Tour career to take a two-shot victory over Adam Scott at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

A bogey-free 64 saw the 27-year-old finally close out with a win after a series of top tens in recent weeks, including a T3 at the PGA Championship. Going five-under-par through the front nine on Sunday, it seemed the only way Cantlay could throw this one away would be to beat himself but after Jack Nicklaus advised him to “figure out how to play those last 30 minutes,” a blow-up was never a likely occurrence.

A further three birdies on the back-nine saw the American sweep past the returning-to-form Martin Kaymer and Adam Scott to claim his second PGA Tour title and move himself into the world’s top ten.

Time for a little reflection

Who doesn’t love the month of June? Long evenings, blistering sunshine (might be a little optimistic here) and plenty of opportunities to hit the course. With much of the season left to go and more competitions on the horizon, it’s time to take note of how you’ve been playing so far this year.

Scenario 1

Hopefully, you've been playing regularly to your handicap or, better still, shooting under it. If that’s the case then happy days, keep up the good work!
